Our Doctors

We contract with independent doctors and accredited private laboratories in the United Kingdom and the United States of America to operate our clinical and laboratory services. However, we always opt to work with a carefully selected group of doctors who can deeply internalise and realise our mission and objectives to reduce the mortality and morbidity of cancer, as well as to promote the principle of prevention better than cure in cancer screening medical practice.

All of our contracted independent doctors hold the following minimum qualifications to earn the privilege of practice with Cancer Screening UK:

  • Primary Medical Qualification recognised by the World Health Organisation of the United Nations such as MB BS, MB, BMed or Licentiate in Medicine
  • 4 years speciality training in a recognised teaching hospital recognised by the World Health Organisation of the United Nations in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology
  • 2 years subspecialty training in a recognised teaching hospital recognised by the World Health Organisation of the United Nations in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology
  • Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training (CCST) recognised by the World Health Organisation of the United Nations in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology
  • Master Degree in Cancer Studies, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology from an accredited university registered as an official awarding body with the UNESCO organisation of the United Nations
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Cancer Studies, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology from an accredited university registered as a recognised awarding body with the UNESCO organisation of the United Nations
  • 15+ years of experience in Cancer Studies, Clinical Pathology or Molecular Pathology
  • Licence to practice medicine from the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom
  • Valid medical indemnity insurance to cover all the aspects of the doctor’s clinical practice in cancer screening within the United Kingdom
